About The Network
Our Network
A network is a partnership between providers, commissioners and patients, who work together to optimise healthcare. The Lifelong Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) Network is a partnership of hospitals across London, East England and South East England committed to providing specialist care closer to home.
The network was formed following a merger between the Guy’s and St Thomas’ – Evelina London and Royal Brompton and Harefield CHD networks. It is commissioned by NHS England and is hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. The network has nearly 50 partner hospitals and covers approximately 6,000 square miles, making it the largest CHD network nationally.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a leading network caring for children, young people and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. We aim to deliver the highest quality care, with clinicians and patients being equal partners in decision making.
Patients are at the heart of everything we do. They guide us and ensure that the work we do and care we provide is network-wide and inclusive of their complex needs. We are committed to supporting patients and their families through a lifetime of care.
